Rethinking leadership for a sustainable future
How to become a sustainable leader
More detailed information
The most successful groups are not the ones with one overachieving star who has a very high IQ, nor the ones with the highest aggregate IQ, the really successful teams have three characteristics:
They show high degrees of social sensitivity to each other, they have high empathy, and inclusion is high
They give equal time to each other, no one feels dominated, but no one sits on the passenger seat, they belong
They have more diversity; diverse groups do better, are smarter, and that is because of their diverse perspectives on a problem.
Companies do not have ideas, only people do.
To solve the greatest challenges of the century (climate change), to transform themselves, they need people. In the executive offices, they even need leaders. Someone who will help them drive and help performance, by developing deeper relationships with and within their teams; someone who holds people accountable to their commitments; someone whispering into their ears, every day, someone helping to lead the company from the shadows.
In this presentation you will learn:
Why sustainable leadership starts with self-leadership
What are the characteristics of a sustainable leader
How micro-level sustainable leadership can impact macro-level sustainable leadership
Why sustainable leaders are often the ones making real change because they think within the box (and not outside the box)
