Workshop Difficult Conversations

Handling Challenging Conversations with Confidence

More detailed information

You feel that something needs to be said, but you hesitate about how to say it. Maybe you want to indicate that your workload is too high, ask for feedback, or express a concern about a colleague.

Crucial conversations often feel uncomfortable, but avoiding them leads to misunderstandings and missed opportunities.
What if you could say what needs to be said without hesitation and with the assumption of everyone’s good intentions, in order to find a constructive solution together?

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • The basic principles of solution-focused conversation techniques.

  • Your relationship is your most important "tool." How to have a difficult conversation without damaging it.

  • How to remain calm at all times and avoid falling into the drama triangle (not taking on the role of rescuer, bully, or victim).

  • Sharpening your intention: how to find the shared goal before delivering your message.

Assertive and empathetic communication using Marshall Rosenberg’s steps:

  • Observing: How to describe facts without judgment.

  • Naming feelings: How to honestly share what you are experiencing.

  • Expressing needs: Clearly state what is important to you.

  • Formulating requests: Ask clearly for what you need.

What will you take away?

You will leave the session with concrete tools from solution-focused conversation techniques and nonviolent communication, enabling you to approach difficult conversations with confidence and empathy—without harming your relationship with the other person.

This will not only strengthen your communication skills but also contribute to resilience and psychological safety within your team.
