It’s that time of year again—targets to hit, plans for 2025 growth, and endless to-do lists. For leaders, it’s all about results, results, results. But let’s be honest: the pressure to achieve these big goals feels heavier than ever.
Today’s reality paints a tough picture. Organizations are expected to do more with fewer people as long-term illness, burnout, boreout, resignations, and misaligned employees disrupt the workforce. A recent study from Securex reveals a shocking truth: 9% of employees are unable to work due to health issues, and among younger employees (aged 25–34), that figure soars to 40% struggling with long-term illness.
These numbers aren’t surprising—they’ve been building for years. Research from Gallup and Deloitte consistently shows that employee engagement in Europe is the lowest in the world, with only 13% of employees feeling happy and engaged at work.
In Belgium, the numbers are even more discouraging: just 11% of employees feel engaged.
And while Generation Z might seem like the epicenter of these challenges, this isn’t just a “young employee” issue. Every generation in today’s workforce is grappling with stress, disengagement, and a lack of care—and this isn’t just impacting their well-being, it’s actively or passively sabotaging organizations.
So the question that needs your urgent attention is clear:
How can you create a healthy, engaged, and thriving team that’s ready to tackle ambitious goals—and win?
The answer is CARE.
CARE isn’t just a feel-good mantra or a set of soft skills. It’s a data-driven, strategic leadership framework proven to boost employee engagement, client satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
